Has anyone seen a way to assign an approved Change Request and corresponding Change Doc to a new Maintenance Project if transports have not yet been created ? Doesn't seem like it should be a big deal, and I'd rather not have to recreate them if there is a schedule change.

Assuming the ChaRM implementation is standard SAP:
You can withdraw the correction document. That will set the status of the change request back to "To be approved", thus allowing you to re-authorize the change request. Upon authorizing the change request you can select the MC again.

Hi,
Maintenance project is automatically assigned to the correct Maintenance Cycle as per its IBase.
Try changing IBase in Change Document as per the production system defined in required Maintenance Cycle.
