Upgrade from 4.6C to ECC6 EHP4 stuck at phase PREP_IMPORT/TOOLIMP4_UCMIG

Hello Guys,

We're performing an upgrade from 4.6C to EHP4. But the upgrade stop at phase PREP_IMPORT/TOOLIMP4_UCMIG with

error message in :

-

Checks after phase PREP_IMPORT/TOOLIMP4_UCMIG were negative!

Last error code set: Detected 2 errors summarizes in 'TOOLUCMIG.ELG' Check

logfiles 'TOOLUCMIG.ELG' and '/usr/sap/DAF/upg/abap/log/SAPup.ECO'

01) * Repeat phase TOOLIMP4_UCMIG to continue at the point it stopped

02) - Initialize phase TOOLIMP4_UCMIG to restart it from the beginning

03) - Exit this program

Choose action: Repeat phase TOOLIMP4_UCMIG to continue at the point it stopped

-Our 46D kernel is 2564

-transport B20K8A222A and BIOK017872 were already imported in the system prio to running this phase. We're waiting for that phase to complete to import BIOK017944 as per note 867193.

Can you login into system?

If yes then enter into system and release TR B20K8A222A and BIOK017872 and repeat the phase.

Hello,

I've done option 1) and 2) several times and recheck log files... But nothing new. I've try copying the missing file in tmp folder.. But nothing new, stil the same issue.

Hello Joseph,

I think that the best is to reset the upgrade and start again from the beginning. Please, be sure that no process tp or R3trans are running like a "zombie". Perhaps the cause is a dirty TMS system.

I'm having exactly the same issue.

How do you solved it? I tried restarting the complete upgrade process, without sucess.

Please check permissions for /tmp or upgrade path.

it is looking for the file in tmp folder which is not available.

Best thing is to REPEAT the phase & check for latest errors if any.

Have you tried with option 2?:

02) - Initialize phase TOOLIMP4_UCMIG to restart it from the beginning

After, recheck the log files.
