Hi experts,
i have been looking around SDN for a strange error.
We have a universe based on a BW query; in this query a mandatory keydate variable is used.
The import of this query is technically OK but the behavior of the keydate variabele is strange to my opinion.
In BW i am allowed to enter the date as i want it; in Webi i am only allowed to select from the values in the infocube.
The BW behavior is what i want because i want to be able to use a keydate equal to the last date of a particular year.
I have been looking at the generated filter definition and playing around with it.
However i don't manage to get what i want.
This is the syntax which is generated:
<constant techname="Prompt('Keydate','A','Re object\Keydate base',mono,primary_key)" etc.
i tried to remove the lov object from this string but that didn't work out.
I also took a look at the lov object itself, bot don't see which options should help me.
Can anyone give me a hint how to manipulate the definition from either the Filter object or the LOV object?
Hi Marco,
This is the default mapping of BW variables in BO. You are allowed to select the values from the populated list of values.
If you want to enter the date manually then you need to change the last parameter in the prompt definition from primary_key to
free. Changing the last parameter in the definition will allow you to enter the date manually.

Rohit
