Dear Experts,
We have PIR on Monthly buckets.
Is it possible to set the creation of PurRqs 1 month earlier than the PIR?
Let say the PIR is from the month of June after running locations heuristic the PurRqs should be created on the first day of May.
Thanks in advance,
Marcus
Hi,
Try with Monthly lot size and check results are as per your need.
Settings in product master:
Lot Size procedure : By period
Period type: Monthly M
No of periods as required in your case
Under scheduling in qty / date determination tab page of product master
select use period check box and enter period factor as 0.
Thanks,
nandha

Hi Nandha,
Thanks for your suggestion but Lot size per period is grouping the demands.
What we want is every PIR's will have PurRqs created 1 month in advance.
For example June PIR will have PurRqs on May, July PIR will have PurRqs on June, August PIR will have PurRqs on July, Sept PIR will have PurRqs on Aug, and so on....
Do you have any other options or ideas how to achieve this?
Thanks in advance,
Marcus
HI Marcus
You could use safety stock strategy SZ and put the number of days as 30. This would ensure that 30 days of demand will be consolidated and planned today.
Or, if you can play around with transportation duration, if you maintain transportation duration or planned delivery time (depending upon what are you using), you can maintain there as 30 days. This will ensure that all your Preqs are generated one month in advance.
Let us know if any of the above helps.
Rgds, Sandeep
Hi Sandeep,
Thanks but this is currently the setting we have done.
We set it to 30 days supply and strategy SZ.
However the quantity of the PurRqs generated 1 month in advance is not exact from the PIR since we have months with 28 days, 30 days and 31 days. Is there a setting we can achieve this? The PurRqs quantity should be exact quantity from the PIR and should be created 1 month in advance.

Thanks a lot in advance,
