cFolders ProE Integration

Dear All,

i need clarifications in cFolders and ProE integration below are the questions..

1. i can open AutoCAD files for Redlining and Mark ups in cFolders using ECL Viewer but not the ProE files (redlining ' 0 ' option is not available for ProE files)

2. Whether ProE files with extension .prt is supported in cFolders - ECL viewer ? if not supported please tell as why ProE is not supported and what is alternative to open ProE files in cFolders ECL viewer.

Hi,

the ECL viewer supports the following flie types, documented in the cFolders Help:

The viewer is primarily targeted at 3D viewable files, not native files. There are also no more updates to it.

If you require a native file viewing and redlining viewer, you can go for a 3rd party viewer that can be integrated on a project basis.

i found AutoVue third party software which can be integrated with cFolders to open and do redlinings, markups etc..

Hi Ulf,

For cFolders,do we need ECL viewer to be installed separately?

Iif the user has SAP GUI 7.0(preinstalled with ECL viewer) on their system,in that case they do not need ECL viewer right?
