SRM 7.0 PFCG Roles vs Portal roles

Hi,

what is the purpose of the WD objects in PFCG roles.

Lets say for EMPLOYEE role in SRM 7.0

In PFCG transaction

under role menu: I see a) change Shopping cart

b) Supplier Evaluation

Work Overview, Shopping area , Personalization.

and so on WD links.

For testing purposes, I deleted all these WD links from PFCG, logged in as employer from the portal and was able to shop, (assuming my Authorization objects in PFCG was the reason for this).

So if that is the case, why do one need these WD links in PFCG roles?

Also, can someone suggest some best practices around these Synching of Portal and PFCG roles.

Hi,

User can access SRM via NetWeaver Portal or without Portal(NWBC:NetWeaver Business Client).

Those WD menus are required when user accrss SRM via NWBC.
