Hi SAP Experts,
We have a process chain in SAP SCM to automatically create CVCs with the option "Adjust Time Series Objects Immediately" turned ON. This works well most of the time. However, occasionally, we still encounter the error "Inconsistent state: No. of charctstc combinations <-> no. of LC anchors" when accessing the planning book /sapapo/sdp94 for a particular set of CVCs. This would normally be fixed via executing the report program /SAPAPO/TS_LCM_PLOB_DELTA_SYNC, or using the report
/SAPAPO/TS_LCM_CONS_CHECK to determine and correct the inconsistencies for a planning area ('Repair' option).
Is there any way to find out what else could be causing the error? I would like to work on a prevention method to avoid this error permanently. Looking forward to your feedback soon.
Regards,
Kim Yong
Hi Kim,
We had a similar problem of no LC anchors post the CVC generation. What we did was we have process chains to generate the CVC, so we had added consistency check step, just after this CVC generation.
Every time the cvc generation happens the cons. check will be done. so no manual intervention is needed.
Thanks
Aswath

Hi Aswath,
I have a follow-up question. Once you have included the consistency check after the CVC creation step in the process chain, do you still encounter the "Inconsistent state: No. of charctstc combinations <-> no. of LC anchors." error message?
This is because we understand that a background job PLOB_DELTA_SYNC_xxx (where xxx is the name of the Planning Object Structure) will be triggered whenever the CVC creation is performed. This job itself would have performed the consistency check if everything goes smoothly. Thus, would there be any system conflict by including the additional consistency check after the CVC creation step in the process chain? Have you encountered any issue with this so far?
Hope you can share your experience on this, thanks.

Please double check the SAP help, but I thought the recommendation is to do the time series as a separate job rather than doing it along with the CVC creation.

Hi Kim,
This error is general error , and there is no other option to resolve it permanently without the Consistency Check.
One thing you can do here , after creating the CVC or Loading the data from Cube to Planning Area , add the Consistency Check Job in the Process Chain , so it will solve your issue permanently!.
