Not able to start x_server

when i try to start x_server on the server i am getting the following error message.

Can't exec program </bin/cpc> : No such file or directory

Please help me to resolve this issue.

Server was at Runlevel 3 instead of Runlevel 5,I did change the runlevel now i am able to run x_server with no issues

Please post more information:

-> What is the version of the database instance?

-> What is the OS version of the database server?

-> Post the output of the following commands:

xinstinfo

<enter>

sdbregview -l

<enter>

Thanks for information, My problem was fixed, I did saw the server was running at runlevel 3, Did reboot the server and changed it to runlevel 5 and restarted the process every thing is working fine. Thanks for the help

seems some rpm's are missing...

See if "cpc-em" package is installed... or install relevant packages.

Do u use OpenSuSE operating system.

Possible reasons for this may be

1.Not proper installation of maxdb Software.

2.Maxdb environment variables are not set properly.
