SSL configuratation issue in Apache

Hi All,

We are using Apache as reverse proxy. We having following scenario,

Internet req --> Apache --> SAP Portal --> SAP Web Dispatcher --> SAP SRM 7.0

We have planned to terminate the SSL at Apahe reverse proxy and we bought certificate for Apache.

After configuring SSL on Apache, when we access Portal pages with portal user every thing is working fine. But when we logged in with backend SRM user and access the page at the begining of the page we are getting waringing that

"Content was blocked because it was not signed by valid security certificate". After click on display content anyway everything is working fine. We have tried with SSL termination at Apache and END to END SSL also. In both cases we are getting the same problem.

Help me to resolve the issue,

Thanks & Regards,

Sreekanth

The error is happening because you are using a certificate from a non trusted Certificate Authority (CA).You can ad the cert in your browser and it wont prompt you or you can purchase a cert from verisign or some trusted CA.

Hi,

Internet req --> Apache --> SAP Portal --> SAP Web Dispatcher --> SAP SRM 7.0

How is your SRM server published on the Internet ?

is the Web dispatcher visible on the Internet ?

It seems to me that you access SRM from the Internet through the web Dispatcher which does not have a signed certificate.

Remember that the portal is NOT a reverse proxy and that in your case SAP Portal en SRM need both to be accessable from the Internet.
