Dear all,
I understand that material staging at WM-PP can take place via TR or a Delivery Order.
I am quite confused about the later in which why would a company or a process would choose to have a material staging via delivery order. I encountered one company using the WMPP as their delivery and Checked on the spro setup for their material staging.
Any idea what is the benefit and reason draw for this?
Appreciate.
Tuffy
Hello,
I use this functionality in production system. We are staging finish goods from warehouse (block, racks) to PSA. Production "produce" set from finish goods.
Benefi:
- From WH point of view delivering goods to PSA is exactly the same process as delivering to final customer, subcontractor, consignments etc. (ODB, TO, confirmation, PGI) . You use the sane RF transaction etc.
- You have full tractability (using HU) from components to finish goods
Best Regards
Andrzej
