I have imported a Business View, but accidentally imported the conenction with it. As the connection already existed, I now have two connections the same. Is it possible to point the Business View to the previous connection & remove the duplicate?

You can modify the connection.
I am not sure whch version are you using.

Even though, I have worked on Business Views, I can't recollect it. And I don't have access to BV to help you out.
