To enter serial number while creation of inspection lot

Hi All,

I have some requirement related to creation of inspection lot for origin 89. while creating a inspection lot can we enter the serial number for a given material ?

Another requirement is business sends some equipment for quality check to a vendor from different plant and vendor sends back those eqipment to main plant So in this case how we can create the inspection lot for the received equipment? In this case we do not create maintenace order.

Please suggest some possible way to acheive this.

Hi Kundan,

As per my knowledge, while creating inspection lot for 89 origin; serial numbers cannot be assigned to the lot. You have to assign them after lot creation.

Regarding your 2nd query, inspection lot for an equipment is created only with reference to maintenance / calibration order. Currently by which methodology you are in warding this equipment? Whether you in warding it against equipment code or material code? If you use equipment, maintenance order and subsequently service entry sheet is must. But if you are dealing with material code you might have to activate inspection for stock transfer depending upon the movement types that you are using for in warding.
