Problem with Tutorial "Value Help in Web Dynpro"

Hi everybody!

I made all the steps explained in the tutorial. But I do not get any error messages as descriped in tutorial for entering wrong data in the input field. I downloaded the example but there nothing happens too. Can anyone tell me what I am doing not correct?

Quite strange. Check the following:

1. You are in fact assigned InputField to attribute with extended value help support

2. You are using validating event handler

VS

P.S. Could you provide more details? Does Value Help popup appear for InputField in question. Does correctly entered value selected in popup?

thanks for your answer. the problem is that my systems doesn't bring up any error message when I have entered anything which is not in the list as shown in the second example of the Tutorial. I downloaded the SAP example files but there I don't get a error message, too. this confuses me completeley.

does the EVS-UI appear for entering a key-value in the input field? When yes you correctly modified the datatype of the context attribute to which the input field is bound.

Which version do you use?
