Upgrade BW 3.5 to BI 7.02 error

Hi,

I'm catching error "Request handler status not initialized" in phase "PREP_GENCHECKS/MANDT_DDIC_CHK"

I checked the notes for the upgrade and the corresponding database (MaxDB 7.8 on Windows 2003), have upgrade running on latest SAPup version, and can't find on sdn / marketplace anything about step MANDT_DDIC_CHK in phase PREP_GENCHECKS.

I also restartet Upgrade GUI but unfortunately without success. In log folder of upgrade directory I cannot find any important for finding solution about this error. Only the "Request handler status not initialized" can be found there.

Any idea what I can do get rid of this error for continuing the upgrade?

Dear Andreas,

This error "Request handler status not initialized" appears when you start the Upgrade with an outdated version of SAPup, then the configuration is build with missing information.

Please reset the Upgrade and restart from the beginning with the current SAPup version.

indeed that was the solution!

I was afraid of stopping the whole upgrade, but it was getting clear that this is the only solution.
