Single Sing-on (SSO) configuration!

Hello gurus,

Can you help me to understand one thing... a colleague of mine tried to connect to a Business Object (BO) application, but failed, he failed to connect... the error, he said me, is with something about user, and he said me to configure the single sign-on between BI Java (.../irj or .../nwa) and BI Abap!

I have been search for documentation and I found the following help sap site:

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp2/helpdata/en/62/c0503e1dac5b46e10000000a114084/frameset.htm

... I also found a chapter in a System Copy guide for "SAP Systems Based on SAP NetWeaver 7.0 including Enhancement Package 2 Java", there is discribed something about setup single sign-on.

I already did one part, I changed the following profile parameters (login/create_sso2_ticket = 1 and login/accept_sso2_ticket = 1)... next I also did the exportation of R3 SSO certificate from the Trust Manager (STRUST transaction) and I saved this file with name BWD-020.crt, then I went to the Visual Administration(VA) and I tried to import this certificate... but I didn´t figured out how!

Can you tell me how can I do this type of configuration?!

Can you sugest me a guide to configure this?

Kind regards,

João Dimas - Portugal

Have you tried importing into Key store?

Are you getting any error message while importing cert in VA?

Best regards,

Pinkle

Hi Pinkle Naik,

Yes, I just import the certificate with success in VA into KeyStore!

But tell me, what I have to do next/now? I didn't still realized what I should do now, I guess it will necessary to do another export certificate but now in VA (JAVA side) and then import it in ABAP side, isn´t it?

Can you guide, is any document or something else that explain me how to do this activity?!

Kind regards,

Hello,

How can I test this configuration, in the end? In order to see if everything is fine and if the single sign-on is properly configured?

Can you tell me please...

Thank you

Joao Dimas,

Actually this is part of post refresh steps in BI and we call this ABAP java integration .SSO is one part of that and we perform number of other steps as well . So let me explain to you how it works.

We have dual stack system so we need to do ABAP java integration after successfully restored the database and import the java configuration files .

1 - First we go to the VA administration and we go to key storage we delete old secure storage and create newone with start and end date. We will export this key

2- ABAP side : got to strustsso2 and delete old PSE's and right click on PSE and create new and confirm the configuraiton .

3- We will export the ABAP certificate

4- Now we will import ABAP certificate to VA and Java Certificate to Strustsso2 in ABAP stack..

Now questiion is how to test this ??

Answer : Ask your functional team to test the connection or run following report in SE38 to check the same . green color will show SSO is successful.

SE38 -

>RSPOR_SETUP -

> execute with default values without any settings.

Thanks ,

Arun

Hello,

Ok, I already did this configuration!... But I´ve to say some things about this setup, this is not so simple and it requires some other guides/help documents, besides sap help!... what I did was the configuration of single sign-on (SSO) between BI Java (Portal) and AS ABAP (BI ABAP) and for this I guided by sap help - Using Logon Tickets method:

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/f8/18da3a82f9cc38e10000000a114084/frameset.htm

But, during the process, I consulted some other documentation such as the following links:

Connecting To R/3 From Portal:
/people/community.user/blog/2007/01/11/connecting-to-r3-from-portal

Connectivity (wiki):
https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/EP/Connectivity

I used the first one to setup a conexion test between portal and abap BI system!

The second have several sites/url´s which contain several information about connectivity between sap systems!

Thank you for your help.
