Our customers send PO's with their P/N's on them. We put that number into the customer info record to link them to our material number. We will often get inquiries from others requesting information on that product. They will only know the customer material number, not our material number or the customer.
Everything I have found you either need to know our material number or the customer in order to search for the customer material number.
What I am looking to do is search for that customer material number so that I can find our material number that is associated with that part.
Is there an easy way to do this in SAP?
What we have done in the past is create a spreadsheet with just our material number and the customer material number on it. I don't see why SAP wouldn't be able to do the same.
