Master data loading to livecache

Dear Gurus,

I'm new with SCM and I need to understand an issue about master data. As far as I understand we have the APO database and the LiveCache, the master data are on the APO database, are there any data should be loaded to the livecache?

If yes, how can I load these data?

Thanks a lot

MaX

Max,

Yes, data (selected master data, and virtually all transactional data) needs to be loaded into LiveCache.

Luckily, you need do nothing. SCM knows what data must be stored in Livecache, and automagically manages the process. Unless you are a developer working on LC reports or enhancements, or a Basis Admin, you will never need to think about it much.

Hi,

In APO, we have two kind of master data.

First one is the master data directly transferred from the R/3 system like plant, material, BOM, etc.

Second one is the APO Demand planning, planning book master data which is stored in Master planning object structure.

This can be created manually or from diference source like flat file, cube (mostly from cube). These are create from /SAPAPO/MC62 transaction of create new CVC combination option.
