Connecting Mutiple Systems with XI

Dear All,

Today we want to do a scenario where we have to pick data from SAP R/3, APO and SQL Server and pthen put that data into some tables in MSAccess. Plz tell me what all we have to do in SLD, IR & ID to take data from all the servers and put in the MSAccess.

Also, plz tell about some weblogs for this.

Hi Nishu,

Basically, for every other system that XI is interacting with, you will have to create appropriate technical and business systems in the SLD that represent it. Also, you will have to create a software component in the SLD which you will later import in the IR and design necessary objects under it. You need to have access (a userID, password with necessary authorizations) in order to create the RFC destinations, ports, etc in order to connect to these systems.

The first thing you need to do is configure SLD and I think more than blogs you should be taking the help of the help documentation in order to complete the necessary configurations in the SLD.

After this you will have to create the necessary objects in IR and ID...regarding which you can always come back to the forum for answers to your specific questions.
