Dear Friends
I am unable to create an outbound delivery for an order.
The error message number is VL461
Error message is "Order cannot be delivered.".
Diagnosis
Possible reasons include:
o The copy conditions specified in Specify copy control for deliveries
do not allow the order to be delivered.
o The order is blocked for delivery.
o The order document is incomplete.
Any help/guidance will surely be appreciated.

The order document is incomplete.
Most probably, this could be the reason. Go to VA02 and do the incompletion analysis.
thanks

Once you execute VA02, in the sales tab, you can see a field Delivery block. Check whether any value is maintained. If so, remove this.
Also ensure that for that customer, Complete delivery is checked but you were trying to make partial delivery in which case also, system will pop up the said message.
With regard to copy control, check the following:-
a) In VOV8, for your order type, you have maintained the default delivery type
b) In VTLA, you have assigned the required item category for the combination of your order type and delivery type

As I already mention in my previous response that in Sales Order (TCode VA02).
In header data, Shipping Tab, manually change the Delivery block to blank by scrolling the list to bottom.
And save the document.
If that is not the case then do have look on the ITEM CATEGORY (VOV7) for the sales item.
In config, the Item Cat should be relevant for delivery.
Thanks & Regards
JP
You are absolutely right.
In that case if you have batch involved, then try what SAJU SOM mention.
Also, check Lakshmi Sir told you in VOV8 transaction to check what is mention Delivery type and whether Immediate delivery indicator is active.
Also, try creating delivery doc through TCode VL01N.
CHECK whether your sales order is visible in VL04
Thanks & Regards
JP
Dear Lakshmipathi
As you have advised, I've released the SO through VKM3.
Still the same error persists. "Order cannot be delievered".
Also, the system is allowing me to release the same SO again in VKM3, when I again run VKM3 for that particular SO.
Any help/guidance will surely be appreciated.

In VOV8, if delivery block is set, then definitely, you should be able to see the same in sale order header level Shipping tab which has already been indicated. If you are unable to see this, then I am really surprised how this could be.
Just to reconfirm this, I created a sale order where the delivery block is not set in VOV8 and I could do PGI. Subsequently, I set the Delivery block in VOV8, created a sale order and found that the same value is appearing against Delivery Block in sale order at header level shipping tab.
Better try to create a sale order with different order type and update.
thanks

Hello,
1. Check your Item Category of the line ITEM in sales order. That should be relevant for delivery.
2. Check incompletion log in your sales order & complete the incomplete the incomplete items
3. Check your plant & shipping point determination is sales order.
4. in sales order (VA02)overview screen, in sales tab, see if any Delivery block is visible. If it is then make it blank. Or you can use TCode VDBLOCK-Documents Blocked for Delivery
5. If this a due new config change, then check your Copying control for Sales to Delv with the use of TCode VTLA with its relevant Item Cat in item.
I hope this should suffice your requirement.
Thanks & Regards
JP
