Hi
Sir/Madam,
While updating the kernel patch from (SAPEXE_185-20000972.SAR to SAPEXE_278-20000972.SAR & SAPEXEDB_185-20000972.SAR to
SAPEXEDB_278-20000972)we updated both Database independent & MS Sql
Server kernel patch after that we face problem in our SAP Management
console where the console disp+work.exe dispatcher is showing as Running but dialog queue info is unavailable.we can able to login into our sandbox and see the WP Table in SM50 t-code.But in SAP MMC it is
showing yellow signal. Please do the needful.
We have not updated in our Production server we tried in our SANDBOX first .
Thanks,
Gopinath M.L
Hello Gopinath,
Try to install "Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 Redistributable Package" (Make sure you install it according to your server OS)
This will solve your issue.

Yogesh

HAve you taken the backup of your existing kernel before replacing new kernel .
<< face problem in our SAP Management

You have problem only with MMC because you can able to login to system and check SM50 system .
If you face any issue in starting the sap system .Follow following points.
1- try to start your system with new kernel and take dispatcher, work process ,message server trace available at /usr/sap/<SID>/Instance/work .. copy file dev_disp ,dev_ms and dev_w# to other location
2- Revert to old kernel and start the system
3- Again take the trace of above files and move to other location
4- Compare your both trace .This way you can learn the main difference between new kernel and old kernel and culprit as well .
Thanks,
Arun

Hello
Kindly also have a look at trace files if they have any error log.
Just try to open dpmon pf= path to instance profile check if that opens.

Hi Gopi,
when ever you perform Kernel upgrade you have run sappfpar at OS level and see if any errors then restart your instance and see if you still see any issues.
eg : sappfpar check pf= fully qualified path instance name(/usr/sap/profile/SAPPRD_DVEBMGS00_00)
Please let me know if you have any questions after trying the above step.
Thanks
Macherla
