GATP Check

Hi Experts

We have a requirement about the scope of check in GATP.

We have 2 order types, Standard Order and Consignment Order for which we plan to use Allocation and ATP Check in APO.

When we perform GATP check system should use Safety stock for Standard order, and for consignment Orders we don't want to use safety stock.

How to achieve this requirement in APO GATP.Please help.

You can do this using Parameter Dependent Safety Stock (PASS) functionality. However SAP standard supports this only if you take the order through CRM.

If you are using Rules based ATP, then you can also try using the Location Activity functionality to switch the Business Event depending on the Order Type. This way you can control the scope of check to include or exclude safety stock ATP category.

We are not using CRM in our process.Could you please eloborate.

We are planning to use rules based ATP check since we have multiple locations.How to switch Business event with the order type.Can you please explain clearly.

In Rules Based ATP, in Integrated Rule Maintenance (/SAPAPO/RBA04), create a Location Activity with a Business Event (say ZZ). Then when you create a location substitution chain, you can specify the location activity. This way you can modify the Business Event (and therefore the scope of check) using Rules Based ATP.

This could increase the rules master data you maintain, so it might actually be better/ easier to modify the business event directly using a enhancement instead of using Location Activity functionality.
