No inspection lot after production order is released

Hi,

I have activated inspection type 03 in the material master. Task list is also maintained. But when my production order is released system is not creatin inspection lot. When i try to create it manually in the production order through Functions>Inspection Lot>Create, it si giving the message as

Material "xxxx" is not activated for

quality inspection!.

But already 03 inspection type is active in material master.

Please let me know if i am missing something.

03 inspection lot is created after release of production order.

Instead of going through production order for manual lot creation ,create manual lot through QA01-->inspection type 03

Hi,

System should create inspection lot automatically once the order is released. Bu is not happening. Even i try to create, from Function>inspection lot>create it is not working giving the message " Material xxxxx is not activated for th

quality inspection!. But in material master 03 inspection type is active.

When i try to create from qa01 it is working. But my problem is system shoudl create lot automatically once the order is released.

The system is rarely wrong with this error message.

Double check the material master, make sure you have the QM view for the same plant you are creating orders in. Then when you look at the inspection setup for 03, please make sure the "active" indicator box is checked on the far right of the screen. If it is not checked, you won't get any inspection lots.

Please check your usage in routing.Maintain it as 1 for production Inprocess.
