a2a file is the MDM archive file - has MDM schema and repo and settings saved in there.

you should archive - unarchive this file in the MDM console

sca - is a deployable file , that is deployed in the Java server

read the SAP material : SAP MDM Console / data manager / import manager reference guides and you get all step by step procdures there

thanks

Hi,

how to install a .a2a

.a2a file is an archive MDM repository which you need to load. you need to follow below steps.

1. You need to put this .a2a file in the archive directory of your MDM server.

2. Open MDM console and then mount respective MDM server. (MDM Server should be running)

3. Right click on MDM server and select unarchived repository. Here provide the DBMS connection details and Repository Name (say Test) and specify the .a2a file then click ok. In this way you unarchive your repository. Once archive has been done, yuo can right click on this newly created repository and then can Load repository.

For more details please refer to console reference guide.

.sca file

you can deploy .sca files in the SAP WAS(WEB Application Server) using SDM(software deployment Manager).
