Could anyone exlain how publish and subscribe be done in sap pi?
Thanx in advance
Hi,
Publish and subscribe is available only for JMS adapter....
PI doesnot have this concept of subscription where the publisher is unknown or not interested by subscriber...
If you are looking from webmethods publish subscribe perspective..the below is what we have in PI..
it has the receivers based on the senders...so it need the info of sender and the corresponding receivers interested in receiving the same...

Hi,
1) Support for JMS topics for the JMS sender and receiver adapter to enable pub/sub scenarios:
2) Subscribe : Once a message is published by a JMS provider for a subscribed topic, the message is fetched and rocessed via SAP NetWeaver PI
3) Publish: SAP NetWeaver PI allows publishing messages to a JMS provider, such as SAPu2019s JMS provider
4) Support for durable subscriptions only
Thanks
Srinivas

Are u talking about JMS ? yes PI 7.3 supports JMS Topics. So in PI 7.3 publish and subscribe possible using JMS Topics.
PI does not support the above pattern in web service.
