Hi there
We were busy patching GRC server from SP level 13 to 15. During this, we had some issues with regards to proper authorizations etc, after this has been resolved, the services got un-deployed via SDM.
Is there a way that we can re-deploy all previous services, if i go via SDM > Deployment, the SDM 'just hangs' and nothing happens.
Even if i do manage to select a .SCA package, it also 'hangs'
Help will be very much appreciated
Hi Stephan,
This is quite strange. As far as I know the deploy-jars.list file describes which jar files have to be loaded. It looks just like a series of jar files. It can be edited, and it should contain the names of the files from .../j2ee/deploying/lib
Best regards,
Désiré

Hi again
The orignal problem seems to be that the SAP crypto libraries went missing/got corrupted, so i've replaced that, and can get to a point where i can add all the files to the deploy list, but whenever we try and run the deploy, it ends in errors:
Additional error message is:
Cannot access Engine library jars for deployment: Cannot read names of
jar files from file "/usr/sap/GRP/JC00/j2ee/deploying/info/deploy-jars.list".
Additional error message is:
java.io.FileNotFoundException:
/usr/sap/GRP/JC00/j2ee/deploying/info/deploy-jars.list (No such file or
directory)
What can you do?
- Check the configuration of the SAP J2EE Engine target system in view
SDM Repository.
- Check the value of Deploy Parameter Substitution for
"com.sap.engine.installdir" in view SDM Repository.
Deployment of bi/mmr/core finished with Error (Duration 279 ms)
now when i check /usr/sap/GRP/JC00/j2ee/deploying/info/deploy-jars.list
My question now being: the file does not exist, where must this file be created from?
I checked the com.sap.engine.installdir, which points to
/usr/sap/GRP/JC00/j2ee, as it has been since installation

Hi Stephan,
Did you try a server restart? Helps sometimes... In case it stil lfails, please post the SDM logs for further analysis.

Hi,
Can you post the log ( SDM/program/log).
and see if this oss note helps you (Note 1552016 - Deployment of SAP content using the SDM hangs.)
Thanks,
George

Hello Stephan
Kindly have a look at SDM logs which can give you better idea of why SDM is having issues.
Other than that kindly also have look at application logs of Java server nodes which can give better insight of issues.
Regards
Vivek
