Inbound delivery-Item category setting

Hello all,

We have two warehouses in which for first warehouse we want GR to happen first followed by put away for this, we are using standard delivey type EL and Item category ELN ( Not relevant for put away)

For another warehouse we want put away to happen first followed by GR for this I have configured new item category ZELN (Relevant for put way) and in also in 'Delivery item catogory determination' YELN as a manual entry.

Now when we are creating IBD wrf PO, via VL31N the field ELN is gray out for this we are using badi' LE_SHP_DELIVERY_PROC' this is conveting item category ELN to ZELN for the required warehouse while saving this is perfectlly fine as per our requireemnt but when we are going for put away system is not allowing us to do so when we check status for the same 'Put away status' and 'WM Status' fields are blank and table entry is not getting updated (Means put away and WM status should come as a 'A' which is not happening.

Can someone has any idea for this or any alternative solution for this requirement?

Thanks,

Shailesh

Hi,

Check the below points.

1. Sloc (WM-Managed) field should be filled in Stock placement tab of inbound delivery.

2. Delivery quantity should be filled in Stock placemnt tab of inbound delivery.

Maintain the above if not existed in inbound and check.

Hope this helps you..

Hi Shailesh,

With regards to the first warehouse, the item category will have to be relevant for putaway, otherwise no putaway can be performed. However, when it is relevant for putaway, you will see the error VLA 308 when attempting to post the GR, to avoid this you need to change it from a error message to an warning or information message in transaction OVM1.
