Hi,
We have oracle 9i database with SAP 4.6B/4.7. We use BRCONNECT for General DataBase Stats. This takes about 5 to 6 hours to complete. (brconnect -u / -c -f stats -t all)
Could you please help, investigating the reason for such a long run?
Thanks,
Sam
Hi Sam, you could easily speed it up if you run stats in parallel mode. Just change stats_parallel_degree = 15 inside your ini<SID>.sap file before your next run, if you schedule it from DB13.

What is the size of your DB?
What is the speed of you CPU? how many CPU?
if your DB is big, 5 hours is quite normal.

Hello Sam,
The General Database stats depends on the database size, the frequency of change of data, your Server configuration and number of users working on the server.
Apart from that please try to analyze the database logs that are generated after the Stats.
