Hi Everybody,
Could anyone explain me how to analyze the Early Watch Report?
Hello,
The EWA Report is trying to alert you to potential problems with the system.
There are general ABAP and JAVA checks, but also specific product type checks.
For instance you will not get BW Checks on an non-BW system.
The report makes these checks and rates them Green, Yellow and Red.
Grene would indicate there is no issue, yellow means there is a problem that needs to be looked at and red means there is a problem which is critical and should be addressed ASAP.
In DSWP if you open the session ( eyeglasses ) or go to DSA and enter the session # of the EWA report, you can get more information on each section as to what checks are being made and what criteria is being used.
Kepp in mind the EWA report is based on a service session week, so at best can only reflect the past week, and does not reflect the current state of the system.
Typically you want the report to be rated green. You should start by addressing red alerts first and then move on to yellow.
There is more information at http://service.sap.com/ewa, where you can also see some samples, with annotations which will help youi with your analysis of these reports.
Regards,
Paul
