Hello All,

Can anyone point me to some good documents or information which can explain how to monitor SAP SRM landscape from Basis perspective?

I would like to know what all things should be monitored in SAP SRM system.

Would really appreciate your help.

Hello -

Some notes on the subject you may find helpful :

450741 Setting up OS monitoring of remote servers for SAP services

420213 Composite SAP note: Central monitoring of mySAP.com

A very useful Basis transaction is ST03n (ST03g)

The Global Workload Monitor (transaction ST03G) display statistical records for entire landscapes and therefore allows you to analyze statistics data for both SAP R/3 and non-SAP R/3 systems. You can use this data to analyze the workload of the monitored components in great detail. The monitor is organized as a one-screen transaction so that its operation is very intuitive, and so that you can query all desired data with only a few mouse clicks.

While statistics records for an SAP R/3 system can only trace actions that are processed by SAP R/3 components, you can use Distributed Statistics Records (DSRs) to trace actions that are processed across the non-SAP R/3 components J2EE Engine, ITS, and BC. This also works across component boundaries. Components that write statistics records send data from the statistics record with their communication with other components (their u201Cpassportu201D), meaning that the originator of an action or a data flow of a business process can be traced even beyond component boundaries.

Hi,

Please give the landscape view means what are the integrations your SRM having like Abap or dual stack,PI,MDM,backend systems, BI.., third party systems like dolphin or markview

The below are some standard things:

Functional teams normally monitors the Vendor,PO and invoices and data flow from backend systems and extractions issues if any thing in SRM.

Technical team [Basis] it' s just any other netweaver system monitoring the health check, interfaces,Idcos flow, check the services files issues from SMOEAC, t rfc & q-rfc. If dual stack is there it;s java stack monitoring of SSO, links navigatioin..
