Dear all,
I have just upgraded the SAP GUI from GUI 710 to SAP GUI 720 with patch 4.
After upgraded, I found that the fonts spacing in print preview is changed in SAP Script form (e.g. PO print preview). The spacing between each wordings is not same as GUI 710.
for example.
In GUI 710, the preview is looked like "DESCRIPTION OF GOODS".
But in GUI 720, the preview becomes "DESCRIPTION OF GOODS"
I have not perform any customization setting while upgrade, and the problem still exists even patch 5 is applied.
Would anyone please tell me how to solve this problem?
Many Thanks
Sunny
Hello Sunny
The spacing issue, or print preview differing from actual output (with
actual output printing correctly) is a known issue.
The reason for the issue is that a new previewer for Smart Forms and
SAPscript is required and this is what is delivered in the
aforementioned notes 1552498 and 1562096.
The existing solution can't gaurantee exactly previewed and printed
space intervals (due to the automated font's selection and stretching).
So this is where this new PDF Previewer is designed, to resolve the
issue you are seeing with the old regular print preview.
Hope this helps,
Jude

Hi LI,
we have the same problem after upgrading from SAP GUI 7.10 to 7.20 (patch level 6).
Have you solved this issue?
Best regards
Daniel

Hello all,
SAP replied that the issue is not able to solve easily. Instead, they have developed a new tools "PDF previewer" to solve this issue.
I am still looking for it but have no idea about "PDF previewer" yet.
Anyone have experience about using "PDF previewer"?
Thanks
Sunny
