Moving Stock from Quality Inspection Area to Block/Scrap..

Please find the detailed analysis for the issue:-

1.While doing the usage decision in QA11, user has moved the partial quantity to unrestricted use and partial quantity to new batch by selecting "To new material" tab. So during this, new batch was created and stock was moved to new batch in quality inspection area.

2.In the background system has posted two movements types 321 and 323. Movement type 321 moved the material to the unrestricted with the old batch and 323 moved the material from old batch to new batch with stock in quality inspection area.

3.System has not created any inspection lot for the movement 323 because as per standard SAP, 323 are not provided in u201CDeactivate Quality Inspection for a Movement Typeu201D.

4.Now user wants to scrap the batch from the quality inspection area. So he created the manual inspection in QA01 for the batch. Since there is no link between the lot and the quantity because of manual lot system will not allow moving the stock to block stock or scrap it.

5.While trying to move the material in MM transaction, system is giving the message to change in QM only.

So please suggest how to move the stock for the material from quality inspection area to block/scrap. Is there any way to remove the stock to the block/scrap with implementing any notes.

Thanks in advace.....

Hi Mathew,

What Yogini has mentioned is correct. Material to material transfer is 309 movement.

1. By movement 323, system transfers the stock from QI to QI of different storage location.

2. Ensure whether user has posted it through QAC2 transaction code.

3. If yes, then system does not generate new inspection lot.

4. In the same inspection lot storage location changes.

5. Just check stocks against the same inspection lot, you will find quantity balanced for posting.
