Hi,

MII workbench starting is very slow.

When starting up workbench, it waits on "loading global properties" step approximately 20 minutes.

What must i do to fix the problem?

Thanks.

Hi Michael,

MII version is 12.05

It runs on win.2003 x64 server (8GB Ram).

There are enough free disk spaces (c: 50GB free, d:70GB free).

Database is DB2.

Hi Cemil,

Do you have a lot of defined Global Properties? What types are they?

Can you take a look at the NW log to see if there are any errors showing?

How much memory do you have assigned to the JVM?

Is this a new issue or something that has been a problem since the installation?

What version of the JRE do you have on the server?

Are there any users who do not see this issue?

Are you using any custom action blocks which have additional jar files loaded?

Regards,

Mike

Hi Mike,

There is no global properties defined.

We have two MII server. One is test, one is production.

These servers have same configuration.

No problem with production server.

Test server has problem.

There is only one custom action block.

There is a log warning message as "Could Not Find VSI Service" .

Is this the cause of problem.

Check the jar files loaded on the two servers and make sure they both have them for the custom action block (and any others which are listed).

I am not sure what VSI Service refers to. See if you have the same message on your production server.

The good thing is that you have the two to compare. You may also want to see if some of the production settings are still maintained on the Test server which might be causing problems if security is more limited on your test server.

Good luck,

Mike
