IDES ECC6 To IDES EHP4

Dear Experts,

Old ides version is ides6 , it has 2 clients 600-custmizing and 800-developement client.

Now i want these 2 clients in to new ides ehp4 with z developments.

Whats the best method. Can this requirement solve by client export/import..??

Hi,

Your scenario is not possible because of below 2 reasons:

1) Upgrade of IDES is not supported. So, you cannot upgrade your existing IDES to EHP4 level.

2) You cannot do client copy between 2 systems having different releases/support package level.

Hi,

You cannot upgrade an IDES installation.

You would have to go a fresh installation with the latest version.

I guess in your case, a Client copy might be a option.

you can upgrade using EHPi tool.
