LOcal client copy means copying a particular client's data into another client which is available in the same system. There are two types of client copies in SAP. One is Local and the other is remote. As the name suggests remote client copy is copying the client's data of one sap system into the client which is existing in another sap system. Local client copy is done using a Tcode called SCCL and remote client copy is done using a Tcode SCC9. Both the client copies are triggered in Target client only. For remote client copy you need to have a valid RFC destination between the two clients.

Hi,
The Client Copy tool allows you to copy selected components of an existing client to another
client. The target client can either be in the same R/3 system or in another R/3 system.
If a client copy held under the same database between two clients, this is called Local Client Copy. This is recommended as a post installation step.
Procedure

Normally, you should start this procedure as a background job. However, if you only want
