Unable to map newly created object to a database column

Hi

We have a requirement to add an object of type detail under existing class in an universe so that user could create a report on it

When he tried to create a report from full client BO 5.1.2, he got BO and Oracle error messages

1) connection or sql sentence error(DA0005)

2) ora-00936:missing expression:-936

Based on this, we understood as there is no new object sql definition(databasename.tablename.column name) in the select box

A linked universe is also available for this derived universe and the complete structure of universe is greyed out in derived universe

ISSUE : I am unable to find the database column name to map it iwth new object.

Is this something that I could ask DBA for the db table and its column to map it with newly created object and test it

Please advise on this.

It seems that, the machine on which you are using Universe Designer, connection is not working.

Try this out by opening parameters tab and use "Test connection" to test it. If the connection is working, you can use "Refresh structure" to get the latest columns on a selected table.

Thanks for your reply.

I have refreshed the universe structure from designer 5 but I didn't see that column in oracle tables.

I will let you know once I get any information from DBA about this.
