SOST - MSg 841 - No delivery to because message too long

All,

Trying to send SMTP mail from SAP (ECC 6.0 701), but getting the following error message

No delivery to because message too long,

20,000,000 bytes

As per note - Note 1171138 - Size restriction for outbound e-mails, I have added parameter MAXLEN_MIME_MESSAGE_SMTP but still not able to send email size more than 20 MB.

Any help ?

Hello,

A workaround for this problem can be changing output format for SAP Documents.

It can be maintained in SCOT > SMTP > Internet Set > output format for SAP Documents.

If business can agree for TEXT or PDF attachment size can be small. However, this setting is global and will effect everyone.

Also, if you have this problem for any Z* report, you can ask ABAPer to change output format to TXT.

Hi,

In relation to your XS841 error, the value for mpi/total_size_MB should

be set to at least four times the size of the largest document you wish

to send.
