Hi All,
We have a requirement that all queries in our client landscape are renamed to fall in line with their naming conventions. e.g. rename 0ASA_MP01_Q1002 to another name.
We're concerned that renaming the business content queries will make all of the standard out of the box reports, and the spend advisor, useless. If we did this we'd have to rebuild all the out of the box reports and the spend advisor reports and the detail reports.
Are we correct in thinking that each report is linked to the technical name of the datasource (i.e. the technical name of the Bex query), and that there would be significant extra effort required in terms of rebuilding everything?
Many thanks
Neil
Hi Neil
Thats correct, all of the SAP supplied out of the box content is tied to the standard queries.
If you were to rename the queries, that would affect the OOTB content.
Depending on the which business scenarios you are using you would need to replicate part/all of the OOTB content based on the new query names.
Regards
Rajesh
