ECC-PI-MDM Interface

Hi Gurus,

we have an requirement that is

ECC--

---

>PI----->TWO Repositories R1 and R2

Please suggest the suitable and best method to post the data from one file from ECC to two destination rep. in MDM

HI Shankar,

as you mentioned the requirement is for ECC --PI --MDM..

the design you need decide on few other aspects.. like following..

-- what will be the way of communication? Synchronous, or Asynchronous.. if synchronous.. you have option of using Proxy, RFC. and if Asynchronous then you can go for IDOC.. Or Async Proxy or Async RFC.. same case with receiver adapter..

first confirm your requirement as it will help you in design making..

as it depends on your requirement..

so you are using Proxy Sync on sender side.. what is that you are using on Target side(Receiver side..)..

in this case as you mentioned you have Proxy Sender on Sender side,.. then

in this case as you mentioned you want to route this to two different Repositories then do you want to send this to two different Repositories or do you want to determine one of the Repositories and.. then in that case you can use content based receiver determination to determine receiver ..and send this to anyone Repositories runtime..

but in case if you want to send this to both receiver Repositories then it is not possible as your scenario is sync.. how you will get response.. so this is not possible if you want to send to both receiver Repositories

MDM system will not support sync call, you have to use BPM if you are expecting response from MDM.

Which version of PI and MDM you have in you cleint ladscape, based on that you can decided using MDM-PI adapter or file adapter.

MDM 7.1 and PI 7.1 --use mdm pi adapter to post data directly in to MDM elase file adapter .

Hi,

I got a requirement like the following.

From the MDM server, the data will be maintained in the catalogue. From ECC, we need to pick up those information and crate a PR ( Purcahse Requisition) in ECC.

Can you please suggest how can we proceed this?.

Is it possible via PI, we can access the MDM server.

Please let me know if any other information is required.

Hi

If the source is same then you can do one interface with two interface dtermination and u can use MDM adapter at the reciever side
