Please help mapping below scenario in SAP

Plant buys materials from vendors and stores in warehouse.

Same material can exists in multiple bins in warehouseOnce one Bin get full they store in another bin. Current legacy system has ability to track material stocks at each bin. they assign bin manually if one bin gets full

They transfer material from warehouse to location cald 'process' from where material used for production. At the moment in legacy they r not able to track which production line has consumed material. they manually pick bins from which bin material will move to 'Process' location. in Process location they are no bins track in legacy

How we can map this scenario in SAP. Warehouse must be managed WM relevant as material need to be tracked at diff bin levels no fast moving/slow moving funda. they just store.

pls help

Hi Sasi,

There are two parts in the below requirement.

1) Stock putaway into WM: You can use "Next Empty bin" putaway strategy for stock placement into warehouse. This will take care of searching of next empty bin once current bin gets full.

2) Not able to track material consumption to particular production line: I'm not clear if "process" location will be another storage location and stock will be transfer from WM storage location to this location. Are you going to use WM-PP interface for production supply? How production line is identified in SAP?

Process - No bin tracking in legacy now

We can define Process as Storage location [Not WM relevant] as they dont have bin tracking at this level. Backflush is easy from storage location which is not WM relevant

We can define Process as Wm relevant too. i am new to WM-PP interface, can u please let me know what i must ensure to work this, if i make Process as WM relevant too
