Validation error on CL Account and Item master data

Hi guys,

when loading master data for gl account and item we get a valdation error due to the fact that a lock for master data modifcation could not be set. For other master data objects it worked just fine. The master data or object was defintely not locked by any user during the upload.

Any idea what could have caused this?

Hi Tobias

I have seen this in the past. and if its the same issue, then this BW message can be misleading.

I have seen it happen when there are resource constraints, and I have seen it being resolved by increasing system resources / playing with the package size.
