What is the differene between inpection type 03(In-Process Insp. for Production Order) and 05(Inspection for Other Goods Receipt)
wether we can assign any one for quality inspection from production
Faisal
The other key difference is that most of the testing data for the 03 comes from the receipe or the routing. The 05 testing data comes from an inspection plan or material specs.

Inspection lot origin = 03
Inspection lot is created at the PP order release
At Goods Receipt, material immediately entered into unrestricted-use stock
Control is less strict (Materials with u201Cbadu201D inspection may enter the u201Cgoodu201D stock).
For quality inspection from production use inspection type 04.
Inspection lot origin = 04
Inspection lot is created at Goods Receipt
At Goods Received, the produced material is received into QI-Stock
Only usage-decision may move it to unrestricted-use stock
Control is more strict. If material did not pass inspection, it cannot be used
Production reporting may be on operation level or on order level
