Hi Experts
I am working on one of the Scenarios File Selection from Financial Bank and to drop the file on the LIVE link database server, In order to get connected to Live Link what are all the steps to be taken on SAP PI (7.1) side. We just need the crdentials to connect the server,
Any Configuration on Basis side needs to be done

I think there are 2 parts to your Q;
1. About the scenario, its a simple file to file scenario and you can find a zillion thread, blogs to help you with that...apart from the master SAP help for PI configuration.
2. ABout the connectivity part, these kind of issues are basically handled by network team; you can ask your network team to check the connection between PI server and LIVE LINK database. If the connection is setup then you can use the FTP protocol from SAP PI to send the file or use some 3rd part tool as Control M or NFM to manage this part.

In addition to the above points make sure the user authorizations and also file permissions to your folders.

You need to configure the configuration channel with the required information. For example, PROXY or CERTIFICATES should be configured there, as well the credentials for accessing the system. The help pages below should be enough, for both receiver (when you put files there) and sender (retrieving files from server) communication channels:
