Hello,

I have installed EhP4 for HCM.

EHPI has created a new tbs PSAPPRD701X.

| PSAPPRD701 | 40,960,000 | 1,911,936 | 95 | 1,062 | 11,046 | 81.920.000 | 48 | ONLINE

| PSAPPRD701X | 22,528,000 | 430,336 | 98 | 1,062 | 8,408 | 57.344.000 | 39 | ONLINE

How can I know which one is used and which one I can drop?

Thanks in advance for your answer.

Hi,

If the source release is the same as the target release, the upgrade program cannot use the normal naming conventions. To distinguish the old tablespace from the new tablespace, SAPup adds an X to the name of the new tablespace: PSAPES<source/target release>DX. In this case, you can delete the old tablespace PSAPES<source/target release>D.

Thanks

Sunny

Hello,

If I drop the old tbs (without the x) and rename the new tbs (with the x),

which extra steps should I perform so that Sap works?

Thanks in avance for your answer.

Hi,

You should not rename this. These are standard SAP naming. If you want to rename then before proceeding with that take SAP recommendation.

Thanks

Sunny
