How to create an "external plant" - SAP Community

Hey guys,

i noticed this "external plant" concept in my IDES. When I tried to create a new plant, it showed me an error message stating "Plant XXXX has already been created as an external plant". But this plant code is not being displayed in the popup list.

Can anyone please tell me the significance of "External plant" and how to configure it ???

Did you search it via ox10?Could you tell me how did you search for existing plant?

Dear Allen,

yes i tried to create plant via ox10 and got that error message. The external plant which seems to have been created earlier is not visible in any tcodes/plant field.
