Hi,

prior to the backup have you manually changed the Spfile at all ??

I didn't change the spfile manually.

But I switched to no archivelog mode before backup thru following command.

Sql>shutdown immediate;

startup mount;

Alter database noarchivelog;

Alter database open;

Thanks

Also thinking about it.

To test quickly rename the spfile and start the db with the pfile and try again from db13.

Hi Mark,

I tried created spfile but it is not still working.

I don't knw why it tries to create pfile with "sap.ora"

BR0301E SQL error -27091 at location BrInitOraCreate-5, SQL statement:

'/* BRBACKUP AT PROF_CONN */ CREATE PFILE = '/oracle/EC5/102_64/dbs/sap.ora' FROM SPFILE = '/oracle/EC5/102_64/dbs/spfileEC5.ora''
