Getting security hint after calling sap gui for windows from portal

Former Member

Hi,

we are calling some SAP transactions from portal via SAP GUI for Windows. We have added object "*.sap" for file extension in SAP Rules configuration.

If we call transactions in systems with load balancing we are getting the standard security popup. The difference is that we only get the choice between "temporary allow" and "temporary deny". Does anybody know what kind of rule we have to define that everything works fine without this security popup. We tried to add a object like "/M/<message server>/S/<service>/ G/<group name>" but nothing changed.

Thanks and kind regards,

Matthias

Is this SecurityLevel setting a registry value? If so, what is it?

Hi Eric,

sorry for my late response.

Here (http://bit.ly/pJzaRe) you will find the link to download SAP GUI Security Guide. Please have a look at point 2.5.

There you will find all registry keys you have to set to disable the security hint for all users.

Kind regards,

Matthias

Hi Matthias,

This might be a workaround for your problem - just open SAP GUI Options and set Default action to 'Allow' on Security Settings

Hi Artur,

thanks for your answer. This is exactly what I did right now. To do this for all users we are setting the regedit key "SecurityLevel" to 0 via windows logon.

Kind regards,

Matthias
