Changing Handling unit type description

Hi,

Can we change the Handling unit type description.

For eg.

Currently I have it as follows

Type of HU Short Text

-

---

0 Carton

can i change it as follows

Type of HU Short Text

-

---

0 XXX

Pls let me know the procedure do the changes.

Hello,

you can achieve it translating Value range for domain EAN128_HU_ART.

Transakctoin SE11:

Domain: EAN128_HU_ART.

Tab strip: Value Range

Goto-->Translation

Thanks for ur reply.It was working fine.But i have a doubt,is this the right way or it is just a form of translation.

Its still the same in language 'DE'. I guess we have changed only the translation text.Can u pls help me.

Hello,

you can translate it from any language to any language. I am not a BC expert, but in my opinion, technically you can only achieve it by translation, Please consult your BC colleagues.

OMLB for storage unit types.

Though if you are EWM then:

Integration with Other mySAP.com Components> Extended Warehouse Management> Additional Material Attributes --> Attribute Values for Additional Material Master Fields --> Define Handling Unit Type
