I don't know what happened with SAProuter, I have tried to search google earlier but I didn't find a good solution to solve except for restart SAProuter services manually in windows 2008
I have had look into a window viewer log and found error message as follow;
Faulting application saprouter.exe, version 7100.201.17.47443, time stamp 0x4bfae3ce, faulting module saprouter.exe, version 7100.201.17.47443, time stamp 0x4bfae3ce, exception code 0xc0000005, fault offset 0x000000000000c1f3, process id 0x25b4, application start time 0x01cbf33b0524b1ba.

Hi all,
We have scanned the server using Kaspersky but have found no virus in the server. Still the saprouter.exe is crashing with no clue whatsoever. We are on Solman 7.0 EHP1 SP25. And we have used saprouter_4-20002415.sar to uncar and install.
Will installing saprouter on another system will help? If yes can anyone guide us to specific note which gives guidance on configuring router on a different server than Solution Manager.
Thanks & Regards
Piyush

Hi Aditya/Paul,
Thanks for your valuable suggestions.
We also have this problem of router crashing. We did as advised by you both but problem remains same, so those reasons are ruled-out. We re-installed the router but to no result. what baffles me is that there is no clue on this error. I could not find a note which describes this problem. I am giving below what is given in the event log, may be this will help you to advise me better;

Hi,
Can you try running it in CMD with the SAPROUTER -r and options -R "your Routtab file destination" -G "your saprouter.log destination" and -V 1 -W 60000
after running this your router will start working. Close the RDP connection , but dont log off..
If it stops again and you get error like "MySAP has stopped working", then its because of some Virus. runa cleanup and it will resolve your issue.
Thanks
Aditya Khorana
Hello,
This is not actually a Solution Manager issue
However if you are running on Windows
Firstly, please review and if applicable apply note
684106 - Microsoft runtime DLLs
update the dlls from the note and reboot Windows
If that doesn't work then please check if you can install the most recent
version of saprouter.exe for your release and test.
You can also refer to.
#1486956 SAProuter crashes with segmentation fault and core
#799428 Downloading SAProuter and/or niping.
However you would be better server posting to a more relevent frum.
regards,
Paul

Hi Paul,
I am having the exact same problem,
Went thru the note you had provided, but there is no specification as to which zip file is used for Windows- X64 system .
Also, Tried to implement the note Note 684106 - Microsoft runtime DLLs, and took a restart on our server, but no use, still the saprouter 7.1 version give the same error.
Is there any other note we can refer for Windows- X64 DLLs.
Regards,
Kaustubh.
Hello,
In point 5 of SAP Note 684106 - Microsoft runtime DLLs
5. Download one of the following platform-specific files:
- Itanium system: vcredist_IA64.exe
- 64-bit SAP system on Intel 64-bit: vcredist_x64.exe
- 32-bit SAP system on Intel 64-bit: vcredist_x86.exe
- SAP system on Intel 32-bit: vcredist_x86.exe
Since these are Microsoft DLLs you need to visit Microsoft's website, but this is where you'd get the 64 bit DLLs
Regards,
Paul
