missing component browser Perspective after install and update

After installing and updating Netweaver Developer Studio I am still missing the component browser Perspective. Why was this not part of the updates and how do I get it?

Hi,

this is either due to

- the fact that the update of NWDS via the update site mechanism was not yet executed as just mentioned in the previous post (without this, after installation you'll have just an "empty" NWDS without SAP content)

- or you face the problem described in the note

This note among others also covers the problem of the missing perspectives.

Phil,

Do you see any of the standard SAP Perspectives in the list? Specifically which ones are available to you? It's possible that you may beed to run the updater before you see the component browser. You can do this in Developer Studio by selecting Help -> Software Updates -> Find and Install

From here I recommend to first try the "Search for new feature to install" and then run this again and try the "Search for updates of the currently installed features".
