Hi All,
There are many obsolete measures/KFs & CKFs in the business content queries that come with SPM.
Note 1467650 points towards some of them being deleted.
We are doing a fresh implementation of SPM 2.1 (i.e. not an upgrade of SA). Is it ok to delete ALL the obsolete measures in all of the queries?
Many thanks
Neil
Yes Neil, its definitely good idea to clean up the query (as in remove any old / obsolete key-figures). Not only that you should also remove any other dimensions (especially navigation attributes and measures with exceptional aggregation) and measures that you will not be populating or your business users are not planning to use. Keeping the query lean and clean will definitely give you better performance and easy to debug an issues you run into.
Regards,
Rohit

Hi Neil
For downward compatibility purposes (existing customers might be reilying on them), we still have them part of the query. But at the same time they are clearly marked as deprecated and would eventually be removed in some future release.
All of the deprecated objects have newer objects which deliver the same results but are also ODBO compliant.
So feel free to perform your clean up since you are doing a fresh install.
Regards
Rajesh
